Contest Rules

Scarecrow Contest - Show off your creativity, community spirit, and fall flair!
Families, community groups, nonprofit organizations, and businesses are invited to
create and display a one-of-a-kind scarecrow at the Williamson County Fair & Rodeo.
Entry Fees
Families: $10
Groups & Nonprofit Organizations: $20
Businesses: $50
Business Entry Sponsorship Benefit
Business entries will receive additional recognition as a Scarecrow Contest
Community Sponsor, including:
 Business name displayed with the scarecrow
 Business name listed on the Williamson County Fair & Rodeo website.
Contest Rules
1. Scarecrows must be family-friendly and appropriate for guests of all ages.
2. Entries should be creative, original, and designed by the individual, family, group,
nonprofit, or business entering the contest. No store-bought scarecrows.
3. Scarecrows should be constructed to withstand normal outdoor conditions.
4. Each scarecrow must be self-supporting or securely mounted.
5. No offensive, political, discriminatory, violent, or inappropriate themes, wording,
or imagery will be permitted. WCFR has the right to reject an entry deemed
inappropriate or unsafe.
6. No live animals, or perishable food items may be incorporated into the display.
7. Business entries may incorporate their logo, products, or branding.
8. All entries must be installed by the designated contest deadline and remain on
display throughout the Fair unless otherwise directed.
9. Entrants are responsible for removing their scarecrow following the Fair. Entries
not removed by the designated deadline will be discarded.
